The number of options offered to students increases as time goes by. These options have two forms: students have the choice between different optional modules, or they can choose different types of internship and have tutored personal work. Some students, who already know which career parth they wish to pursue choose more of a specialized pathway in the field they are interested in, for instance: viticulture, agribusiness, or mechanization. Others wish to diversify their knowledge and experience of different branches, to enlarge their choice of options.
Pathway 1 : Purpan Scheme
Students take a course at Purpan. Some of them also apply for the National Diploma of Oenology at the Viticulture & Oenology Midi-Pyrenees Center (DNO).
Others choose to go on a more intensive course in Management/Accounting/Finance in order to take the DPECF (Preparatory Diploma of Accounting and Finance studies) exam, and DECF (Accounting and Finance study Diploma) exam.
Pathway 2 : DA in another FESIA school
In their fifth year, students can choose to explore a specific area of study (DA - Domaine d'approfondissement) in another FESIA school.
Pathway 3 : Semester abroad

Pathway 4 : Double Degree
After a semester abroad, future engineers can go on to pursue a Master's course at a host university with whom Purpan has signed a double degree agreement. The engineer will then be qualified both by Purpan and the host university.
Pathway 5 : Pathway at l'ESAT (Higher Education School of Tropical Agronomy)
At the end of the fourth year, students who have successfully been admitted at l'ESAT will have the opportunity to take on complementary training. In this way, they can obtain simultaneously the Purpan Engineering Diploma and Tropical Agronomy by the end of the course.
